               Nowa galeria z animowanymi neonami - podziekowania dla Macka ! PERFUMERIA - R.I.P.  Perfumeria - one of Warsaw's most unique neons was recently removed and destroyed by the owner. Despite rigorous and extensive enquiries, the Neon Muzeum was forced to concede that yet another iconic sign had been carelessly disregarded and lost forever.NEW ACQUISITION - UPDATE ! Famous Wroclaw Neon 'SDH Feniks' preserved !  The Neon Muzeum is thrilled to announce the saving of the historic neon sign 'SDH Feniks'. The Neon Muzeum has been in discussions with the director of the well-known Wroclaw Department Store and are looking at ways in which to preserve the neon. The flagship store was originally built in 1904 for the Braci Barasch (Barasch Brothers) and was badly damaged during WWII. It was subsequently rebuilt and renamed in 1946 and has been SDH Feniks Store until the present day.The Feniks Store has currently undergone a major rebrand - which required the replacement of all the cold war era neon lettering. The striking sans-serif design has adorned the building in the Old Square, Wroclaw since the 1960s. The Neon Muzeum, working with Feniks, hopes to repair and display the complete sign in a public space. Click the above image for gallery. Varsavianistyka - Warsaw Studies Polish Neon Album is now required reading !  Ilona Karwinska's groundbreaking photographic project and comprehensive album Warszawa - Polski Neon (published by Gazeta Wyborcza 2008) has now been included in the educational curriculum for Warsaw Studies. Students of '19th & 20th Century Architecture and Art of Warsaw' will now be required to research the book as a part of their course module.Polish Neon - Museum of Architecture, Wroclaw 5.05 - 13.06 2010  The exhibition Polish Neon by Ilona Karwinska was an unqualified success - some 10,000 people attended the show on the European Museum Night alone ! The stunning images, blueprints and original neon signs have now travelled back to Warsaw where they will join a larger permanent collection...here in the Neon Muzeum.MAJOR ACQUISITION ! October 2009  Great news...the iconic ‘TKANINY - DEKORACYJNE’ neon sign has been saved by the author.
